Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday discussed with the TDP MPs the issues to be raised in the monsoon session of Parliament beginning on July 20. Naidu advised the MPs to highlight the financial support the State was expecting from the Centre, and the progress of construction of the capital city Amaravati and the status of the Polavaram irrigation project works.
Also, Mr. Naidu told the MPs to raise issues related to mobilisation of investments, infrastructure creation, linking the Godavari and Penna rivers aimed at making the Rayalaseema region fertile, and the functioning of the Visakhapatnam-headquartered South Coast Railway (SCoR) Zone, and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Further, the TDP President gave suggestions to the MPs about the Women’s Reservation, Delimitation and other important Bills to be tabled in Parliament. Besides, he stressed the need to take the rampant abuse of social media to the notice of Parliament, while drawing its attention to problems in the Lok Sabha constituencies requiring Central government’s intervention.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party president K. Pawan Kalyan will hold the Parliamentary party meeting at his residence in Hyderabad on July 18.
