The works include an upgraded station façade, pedestrian pathways, improved signage, Divyang-friendly toilets and other passenger amenities. Railway officials said the redeveloped Mangalagiri station, which provides connectivity to Amaravati, would enhance operational efficiency and support the region’s overall development.
Cumbum railway station has been redeveloped at a cost of ₹11.72 crore with modern lighting, platform shelters, waiting halls, parking facilities and design elements reflecting the region’s cultural heritage and identity. Railway officials, public representatives, students and local residents participated in the inaugural programme.
