Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for multiple development projects in Jalandhar, Punjab, including the launch of the country's first hydrogen train from Jind and a Sikh museum in Kurukshetra. During his address, PM Modi criticized the ruling party in Punjab, stating, 'An open game of loot is going on here under the fiercely dishonest party's government'. He accused the state government of misusing central funds and taking loans to pay interest while neglecting development.
PM Modi remarked, 'They are just selling Government of India schemes by pasting their own stickers'. He highlighted the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab, pointing out issues like gang wars, extortion, and the drug menace. Furthermore, he mentioned the conviction of their leaders in Delhi and Gujarat for riots, murder, and extortion. Emphasizing the need for a double-engine government, PM Modi urged the youth to join the sports economy and assured them of the central government's continuous support for Punjab's progress.
