President Donald Trump's longtime teleprompter operator, Gabriel Perez, has been placed on unpaid administrative leave amid a federal investigation into alleged insider trading on prediction market platform Kalshi. According to Reuters, regulators are examining whether advance access to presidential speeches was used to place profitable trades. Kalshi flagged the suspicious activity, froze the account, and referred the matter to the CFTC.
