A court in Assam has rejected the bail applications of key accused in the case related to the death of Zubeen Garg, with prosecutors claiming the court cited concerns including flight risk and the possibility of evidence tampering. According to the special public prosecutor, the court observed that one accused had previously left for Malaysia during the investigation and returned only after a lookout notice was issued.
Prosecutors also alleged financial irregularities connected to assets associated with Zubeen Garg, though these allegations remain subject to trial and judicial determination. Meanwhile, the court has reserved its order on the bail pleas of four other accused, including relatives and associates linked to the case. The next significant hearing is expected on June 8, when the court is scheduled to pronounce its decision on the pending applications.
