Following a meeting of party members of parliament, a social media post indicated that the party will oppose the construction of the Mekedatu dam to safeguard the rights of Tamil Nadu over the Cauvery river.
The party committed to upholding state rights and the Constitution regarding any new legislation introduced by the Union Government. However, the post remained silent on the issue of delimitation. The party holds twenty-two seats in the Lok Sabha and eight in the Rajya Sabha.
