The Rath Yatra festival begins in Bengal by the rope of Jagannath Dev's Rath being pulled by the CM Suvendu Adhikari. This was the 71st Rathyatra celebration held by Iskcon which saw a grand celebration in Bengal for the first time under the leadership of Suvendu Adhikari. The bhaktgans from all over Bengal came to celebrate Rath at Isckon.
While they danced and rejoiced, they told Times Now that the rain while the rope was pulled of the Rath symbolised Amrit and the presence of lord Jagannath. They also said that for the first time under the leadership of Bengal's CM did Bengal see such grand celebration which makes them happier. A group of girls who danced for Lord Jaganath said, "Today being at Isckon made some feel the presence of lord himself." Watch the video to know more.
