Karnataka Bus Stand Murder News A 21-year-old woman lost her life after she was allegedly attacked with a machete at a busy bus stand in Karnataka’s Bantwal on Thursday evening. The incident unfolded in public view and was captured on video, with the suspected attacker escaping before police reached the spot. The victim, Lavanya, who lived in Uligram and worked at a private nursing home in Kalladka, was reportedly waiting for a bus at the KSRTC New Bus Stand in BC Road when the assault took place. Woman Chased Before Fatal Attack According to preliminary findings, the incident occurred at around 6 pm.
Police said the accused, identified as Chetan from Odilnala in Belthangady, allegedly removed a machete from a bag he was carrying. Lavanya reportedly attempted to run after noticing the weapon. However, the man allegedly chased her through the bus stand and attacked her repeatedly before fleeing. The machete used in the assault was reportedly left behind at the scene. Despite doctors’ efforts, she later succumbed to her injuries.
