The Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday (July 16, 2026) announced the result of the Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2026 re-examination held on July 16, with 11.21 lakh candidates qualifying for medical admissions. Eligible candidates can access and download their respective results from the official website at neet.nta.nic.in. The NTA also published the lists of All India Rank holders, state toppers, category-wise toppers, qualifying cut-offs and language-wise participation.
The NEET-UG, originally held on May 3, was cancelled on May 12 after allegations of a question paper leak. “The result has been declared in time so that the medical-admission and counselling calendar for candidates stays on track,” the NTA said in a post on X. A total of nearly 20 lakh candidates appeared for the NEET-UG examination this year —held across 5,440 centres in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad — seeking admission to undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH and allied programmes.
According to the results announed, Punjab’s Aryan Gupta and Haryana’s Panshul Bansal topped the re-examination with 715 marks. A total of 19 candidates scored 700 out of 720, while 1,492 score above 650. More than 58% of the qualified candidates are women, the NTA said, adding that the majority of the top-performing candidates are between 17 and 19 years of age.
