Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has announced major plans to revive the historic HMT (Hindustan Machine Tools) unit in Bengaluru. He revealed that he personally visited the site along with his officers to push forward the revival plan. Kumaraswamy also shared a personal note, mentioning his 2024 election win from Mandya, largely credited to the support of Mandya voters.
He further stated that his broader plan includes reviving VISL and other public sector undertakings under the Heavy Industries and Steel ministries.
