Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accompanied by Health Minister J.P. Nadda, will visit Chandigarh tomorrow to inaugurate and dedicate major medical projects at PGIMER worth Rs 1,250 crore. According to PGIMER Director Dr. Vivek Lal, the projects include the Advanced Mother and Child Care Centre and the Advanced Neuroscience Centre, both being inaugurated tomorrow, along with the foundation stone for a new Critical Care Block.
Dr. Lal described PGI as a vital healthcare hub for seven surrounding states, providing state-of-the-art care often free of cost under the Ayushman Bharat scheme. PM Modi will also lay the foundation for a 150-bed Critical Care Block and inaugurate several infrastructure projects related to education and roads in Chandigarh.
