Hyderabad: Minor Girl Sexually Assaulted By Neighbour, Case Registered Published By, Last Updated: July 16, 2026, 22:35 IST The class IX student was allegedly forced by his neighbour Shabaz, to board his scooty. He later took her to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Park at Sanathnagar. A case has been registered under section 137(2), 65(1) BNS and section 5 read with 6 of the POCSO Act, against Shabaz. (Image used for representation) A minor girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man in Sanathnagar area of Hyderabad, the police said. The incident took place when she was walking to her school after having her breakfast. The class IX student was allegedly forced by his neighbour Shabaz, to board his scooty. He later took her to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Park at Sanathnagar.
Later, with the help of two other persons, Shabaz took the girl to his home and allegedly raped her and dropped her at Shyamalakunta Park., as per the FIR. A short while later, the girl’s mother received a call from an unknown number. During the call, her daughter, who was reportedly crying, told her that she was at Shyamalakunta Park. As the mother was at work at the time, she informed her niece about the situation and asked her to go to the location and check on the girl. Her sister and her son went there and brought her daughter to the house. A case has been registered under section 137(2), 65(1) BNS and section 5 read with 6 of the POCSO Act, against Shabaz.
