Temple chairman reviews cow shelter and facilities for devotees

Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple trust board Chairman Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu on Thursday evening inspected the temple managed cow shelter, coconut sales centre, the amphitheatre, and the luggage storage rooms for devotees. Inspecting the cow shelter, he reviewed the procurement and daily consumption of fodder, the stock of medicines for the shelter, and the production of Vibhuti (sacred ash). Speaking on the occasion, he emphasised the need to prioritise cleanliness and hygiene within the cow shelter, noting that this would bring about a sacred atmosphere.
He directed that only a specific number of cows be housed in each shed to facilitate systematic cow care and management. As a precautionary measure, he instructed that vaccinations be administered regularly and on schedule to protect the cows from contagious and seasonal diseases. Mr Ramesh Naidu also directed that all necessary medicines for the shelter be stocked in advance. He emphasised the need to pay special attention to every single cow in the shelter and instructed the concerned staff to ensure the continuous availability of adequate fodder and drinking water.
He directed that all cows be provided with nutritious feed in accordance with scientific standards. Subsequently, he inspected the Vibhuti (sacred ash) production unit located within the Go-Samrakshana Shala (cow shelter) premises. He instructed that adequate stocks of the fragrant Vibhuti be kept ready at all times to meet the demands of the visiting devotees. He later inspected the amphitheatre and directed that its surroundings be landscaped to create a pleasant atmosphere, emphasising the need to enhance greenery in the area.
Later, Mr Ramesh inspected the coconut sales counter managed by the temple and checked the stock register. He advised that sufficient stock be readied in advance to cater to the influx of devotees. He insisted the the quality and size of the coconuts be strictly checked on a regular basis. He also inspected the luggage storage facility and instructed the staff to interact courteously with the devotees.
