Delimitation Bill: DMK Keeps Stand Open Ahead Of Parliament Vote, Sparks Buzz Over Possible Shift
The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has postponed its decision on the proposed delimitation bill, stating that the party will take a stand only after the legislation
The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has postponed its decision on the proposed delimitation bill, stating that the party will take a stand only after the legislation is introduced in Parliament. This move is interpreted as a softening of the party's stance, as it had previously opposed the bill during its earlier introduction.
While the Congress party is seeking opposition unity and urging the regional party to vote against the bill, the party leadership has decided to evaluate bills on a case-by-case basis. The party, which holds twenty-two seats in the Lok Sabha, has also sought separate seating from the Congress in Parliament, highlighting its independent approach.
