UP Govt Accelerates U-DISE Plus Drive To Build Accurate Digital Records Of Students Published By, Last Updated: July 16, 2026, 15:15 IST The Uttar Pradesh government has intensified its U-DISE Plus campaign, completing 97.14% of student profile updates to strengthen digital governance and data-driven education. Rapid Read News18 The Uttar Pradesh government has stepped up its efforts to strengthen digital governance in school education by preparing accurate and updated digital records of students across the state. As part of the initiative for the 2026-27 academic session, a time-bound campaign is underway to complete student profile progression and fresh enrolments on the U-DISE Plus portal. According to the government, the exercise aims to build a comprehensive digital database of students to make education administration more transparent, accountable and data-driven. Officials said updated records will help ensure that government schemes and benefits reach eligible students on time while also improving policy planning and resource management.

State Records Over 97% Progress The latest U-DISE progress report shows that 97.14 per cent of the work has been completed across Uttar Pradesh. The Basic Education Department has achieved 98.98 per cent progress, while the Secondary Education Department has completed 94.33 per cent of the exercise. The government aims to complete the remaining work in the pending schools at the earliest and achieve 100 per cent coverage across the state. Districts Asked To Complete Updates Within Timeline To speed up the process, the Director General, School Education, has directed all District Inspectors of Schools (DIOS), Basic Shiksha Adhikaris (BSA) and Block Education Officers (BEO) to complete student profile progression, profile updates and necessary corrections within the prescribed timeline. Officials have also been instructed to ensure that details of every registered and newly admitted student are uploaded on the U-DISE Plus portal within the stipulated period.

Focus On New Admissions The government has also activated the U-DISE Plus link for fresh admissions in Pre-Primary and Class 1. District authorities have been directed to upload the details of newly admitted students without delay. According to the government, maintaining an updated digital database from the beginning of the academic session will help students receive the benefits of educational schemes, scholarships and other facilities in a timely manner. The initiative is also expected to strengthen data-driven decision-making and technology-enabled governance in the state’s school education system.
