Mumbai's iconic Juhu Beach has been overwhelmed by massive piles of garbage after continuous monsoon rains and high tides. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) says it has cleared nearly 1,800 tonnes of waste in just 10 days, with around 180 tonnes being removed every day. Officials believe the waste is being washed ashore through nearby drains and the Arabian Sea, making cleanup a daily challenge.
As tourists continue to visit the beach, authorities are racing to restore one of Mumbai's most famous landmarks while searching for a long-term solution.
