Isha Ambani Joins Over 100 Children At NMACC's 'Emotions Lab' Launch, Promotes Emotional Learning Published By, Last Updated: July 16, 2026, 13:41 IST Isha Ambani joined over 100 children at the launch of Emotions Lab at NMACC in Mumbai. The exhibition on emotional learning will remain open till August 2, 2026. Isha Ambani joined more than 100 children during the launch of Emotions Lab at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai. Reliance Foundation Director Isha Ambani joined more than 100 children from non-governmental organisations at the launch of ‘Emotions Lab’, an immersive learning experience at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai, where children explored ways to recognise, understand and express their emotions through interactive activities. The exhibition, developed by NMACC, Reliance Foundation and Dadu, Children’s Museum of Qatar, has been launched as part of NMACC’s annual Bachpan 2026 festival. Designed for children between the ages of five and 11 years and their families, Emotions Lab focuses on emotional literacy and social-emotional development through immersive, play-based experiences that encourage children to recognise, understand, express and regulate their emotions. The opening featured dedicated Education and Sports for All (ESA) days, under which more than 100 children from organisations supported by Reliance Foundation became the first participants in what has been described as a first-of-its-kind initiative in India.
During the guided sessions, children engaged in activities that helped them identify emotions through facial expressions and body language, understand how everyday experiences influence feelings, and explore the role emotions play in communication and relationships. They also participated in an NMACC Art Walk that encouraged observation, creativity and self-expression through art. Interacting with the children during the event, Isha Ambani highlighted the importance of nurturing emotional intelligence from an early age. “We believe learning should be an adventure driven by playfulness and curiosity. We are thrilled to build on our partnership with Dadu, Children’s Museum of Qatar, to bring Emotions Lab to young minds in India," she said. “It is vital for children to learn emotional literacy and intelligence early in life, both inside and outside the classroom. The exhibition with a dedicated day for children under our Education and Sports For All (ESA) initiative is in line with our commitment to ensure educational experiences are accessible to all children," she added. The exhibition is centred on the Mood Meter, developed by the Yale Centre for Emotional Intelligence as part of the RULER approach to cultivating emotional intelligence in schools. Through a simplified adaptation of the Mood Meter, Emotions Lab introduces children to five key emotional intelligence skills: recognising, understanding, labelling, expressing and regulating emotions, using interactive experiences and practical learning tools.
