Illegal Bangladeshis Fleeing India Everyday: Amit Shah | West Bengal | Bangladeshis Leaving India | Viral Video Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the large "reverse exodus" that is now taking place in West Bengal near the India-Bangladesh border in a significant national security statement. Speaking at a public gathering, Shah cited media reports that showed thousands of illegal immigrants willingly leaving the state every day and returning to Bangladesh with their bags.

Following Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari's vigorous enforcement of the "detect, delete, and deport" policy of the newly elected West Bengal administration, there was a panic-driven departure. In a harsh warning, Amit Shah reaffirmed the Modi government's unwavering determination to totally destroy the ingrained networks that allow for fake and unnatural population shifts in border areas.

The Home Minister did, however, provide an important legal reprieve: if undocumented immigrants voluntarily leave India prior to the official verification and identification operations, the government would not prosecute them or take legal action against them. To temporarily keep inmates, state officials have already established strongly secured district-level holding centers, like as the operating facilities in Malda and Murshidabad.

In order to protect porous international border points and the vital Siliguri Corridor, the state has simultaneously given the BSF hundreds of hectares of land.
