Illegal Bangladeshis Fleeing India Everyday: Amit Shah | West Bengal | Bangladeshis Leaving India | Viral Video Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the large "reverse exodus" that is now taking place in West Bengal near the India-Bangladesh border in a significant national security statement. Speaking at a public gathering, Shah cited media reports that showed thousands of illegal immigrants willingly leaving the state every day and returning to Bangladesh with their bags.
Following Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari's vigorous enforcement of the "detect, delete, and deport" policy of the newly elected West Bengal administration, there was a panic-driven departure.
