The CCTV footage appears to show one of the men striking the other first, after which both are seen pushing, shoving and exchanging blows inside the elevator. The video has since been widely shared on social media, drawing attention to the incident. The footage also displays inconsistent timestamps. While the recording initially shows the date as July 15, 2026, matching the reported date of the incident, later frames abruptly switch to January 1, 2004. The discrepancy has not been officially explained, though such inconsistencies can occur because of system clock errors, device resets or recording glitches in surveillance systems. Residents familiar with the matter claimed that the two men had been involved in disputes over AOA-related issues on several occasions in the past.
According to local residents, disagreements between them had been simmering for some time before culminating in Wednesday's altercation. Following the incident, Deepak Chopra approached the Crossing Republik police station and lodged a complaint, seeking legal action against the other party. Officials said the viral CCTV footage and other available evidence are being examined as part of the probe. "The matter is under investigation.
