Palestinian Ambassador to India Abdullah Abu Shawesh has expressed strong support for India's bid to become a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Speaking in New Delhi, he said India deserves permanent membership and also supported reforms to the Security Council. India is currently seeking election as a non-permanent member of the UNSC for the 2028–2029 term, while continuing its long-standing campaign for permanent membership.
