भारत और ब्रिटेन के बीच ऐतिहासिक फ्री ट्रेड एग्रीमेंट आज से लागू हो गया। आज से ब्रिटेन ने भारतीय निर्यात की लगभग 99% वस्तुओं पर सीमा शुल्क पूरी तरीके से हटा दिया। ड्यूटी हटने के कारण अब ब्रिटेन के बाजारों में भारतीय सामान वहां के खरीदारों को सस्ता मिलने लगा है। पीएम मोदी ने इसे ऐतिहासिक मील का पत्थर और नए युग की शुरुआत बताया है। उन्होंने कहा यह डील दोनों देशों के बीच व्यापारिक बाधाओं को समाप्त कर साझा समृद्धि, वैश्विक विकास और नई आर्थिक संभावनाओं के द्वार खुलेगी। भारत के राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा सलाहकार अजीत डोबाल और म्यांमार के एनएसए यूटिन आंगसा के बीच नई दिल्ली में एक महत्वपूर्णद्विपक्षीय बातचीत बैठक हुई।
पांचवी बिमस्टक राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा सलाहकारों की बैठक के स्तर पर यह मुलाकात हुई। The historic Free Trade Agreement between India and the UK came into effect today. The UK has completely removed customs duties on nearly 99% of Indian exports. Due to the removal of duties, Indian goods are now available at cheaper rates in the UK markets. PM Modi described this as a historic milestone and the beginning of a new era. He said this deal will eliminate trade barriers between the two countries and open doors to shared prosperity, global growth, and new economic possibilities.
An important bilateral dialogue meeting was held in New Delhi between India's Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Myanmar's NSA Utin Aungsa. This meeting took place at the level of the fifth BIMSTEC Security Advisors' Meeting.
