UP board issues cyber fraud warning for Class 10, 12 scrutiny

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has issued a public notice warning students and parents who have applied for the scrutiny of Class 10 and 12 board exam answer sheets about possible cyber fraud attempts targeting examinees. According to the Board, cyber criminals may try to contact students through phone calls, messages, emails, or other communication channels, falsely claiming that they can increase marks in exchange for money. To make their claims appear genuine, these fraudsters may even impersonate Board officials or employees.
Read Full Story The Board clarified that it never contacts examinees personally regarding marks, re-evaluation, or scrutiny results. It further stated that, with the active cooperation of the Uttar Pradesh Police, such cyber criminals will be identified and strict legal action will be taken against them under the provisions of the IT Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). UPMSP has advised students, parents, and the general public not to respond to suspicious calls, messages, or emails and to avoid sharing personal information, roll numbers, OTPs, or bank details with unknown individuals.
In case such calls are received, students have been asked to record the conversation and immediately report the matter to the District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) of their district or file a complaint through the Cyber Helpline number 1930. Click here to read the full notice. UP BOARD RESULT 2026 The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad declared the UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 Results 2026 on April 23. This year, the overall pass percentage for Class 10 stood at 90.42%, while the overall pass percentage for Class 12 was recorded at 80.38%.
The scrutiny process is conducted for students who are dissatisfied with their marks and wish to get their answer sheets rechecked. During the process, the Board verifies whether all answers have been evaluated properly, marks have been totalled correctly, and no answer has been left unchecked or unmarked. Ends
