The expansion project involves a financial outlay of ₹3,100 crore and will enhance the plant’s annual production from 2.5 million tonnes of clinker and 3.6 million tonnes of cement to 6.1 million tonnes and 9.6 million tonnes respectively. Lokesh formally unveiled the foundation stone after participating in a ritual along with Dalmia Bharat’s managing director and chief executive officer Puneet Dalmia.

Adinarayana Reddy, District Collector Sreedhar Cherukuri and TDP zonal coordinator R. Srinivasa Reddy were also present on the occasion. The IT Minister called Dalmia Bharat a strong and reliable partner who wholeheartedly shared the vision of building a globally competitive, future-ready economy through sustained industrialisation. “It is not just an expansion, it actually stands testimony to the immense faith reposed by Dalmia on the government’s ability to deliver,” he said, calling ‘speed, stability and service’ as the hallmark of Andhra Pradesh government.
Similarly, he explained the steps taken up by the government to prepare the local youth for the jobs arising from rapid industrialisation of the region. Meanwhile, Mr. Puneet Dalmia recalled his company’s longstanding association with Kadapa district and expressed hope that the present expansion would further strengthen the ties with the region. He hailed the State government’s constant monitoring of the project by forming WhatsApp groups and deploying a dedicated team of officials. “When commissioned in the Q3 of FY28, the new unit will become Dalmia’s largest integrated manufacturing facility in southern India,” he said, adding that the plant was designed to produce the ‘world’s greenest cement’, with excessive reliance on green energy.
