Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has discussed the implementation of Amaravati Integrated Master Plan-2.0 (AIMP) with a Singapore delegation at the Secretariat on Wednesday. Senior officials from the Government of Singapore explained the scope of the project and the action plan, which includes area development, infrastructure planning and investment models.
Naidu said the AIMP should be designed as an inclusive capital city, where people from all parts of the State could work and live together, and emphasised that Amaravati was being developed as a world-class city that would serve as an economic growth engine for Andhra Pradesh.
He then enquired about the progress of the Land Pooling Scheme-2, and called for steps to create large-scale employment opportunities. Further, he stated that Amaravati should evolve into a Creative City with a strong economic base and focus on environmental sustainability through the adoption of green energy and green building practices.
Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana and Principal Secretaries S. Suresh Kumar (MA&UD) and Peeyush Kumar (Finance) were among those present.
