In his statement to the police, Kushwaha said Garg arrived at his house with his associates, dragged him outside and assaulted him with sticks and clubs.
“Saligram Garg wants to take over my land. He arrived at my house this morning with his associates, dragged me outside and attacked me with sticks and clubs. After that, Saligram fired three or four rounds. One of the bullets hit me in the chest," Kushwaha alleged. He was first taken to the Chhatarpur district hospital, where doctors performed surgery to remove a bullet lodged near his ribs. His condition is stated to be critical. Police launch investigation Police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the allegations against Saligram Garg and his associates. According to the victim’s statement, Saligram Garg, Satish, Ashish and one unidentified person were allegedly involved in the incident. Investigators said they are verifying the sequence of events as well as the role of each individual named by the victim. Police confirmed that Saligram Garg and Ankit Mishra have been arrested in connection with the case.
