Trump Says 'It Gets Really Bad' For Iran Next Week. What Is The US Planning? Published By, Last Updated: July 15, 2026, 16:59 IST According to Trump, US negotiators had conveyed a direct message to Tehran, make a deal or "you won't have anything left." Donald Trump Plans Wider Military Offensive Against Iran The United States appears to be entering a new phase of its military campaign against Iran, with President Donald Trump warning that “it gets really bad" for Tehran next week unless it agrees to negotiate over its nuclear programme. The latest warning comes as the Trump administration prepares what reports describe as a “broader military offensive" against Iran, shifting beyond the current operations around the Strait of Hormuz. According to Axios, Trump on Wednesday outlined the next phase during a high-level meeting in the White House Situation Room, where officials discussed expanding military strikes with the stated aim of breaking the Iranian regime’s resolve. Trump hints at bigger strikes Trump is reportedly pushing for a wider offensive designed to pressure Iran into reopening the Strait of Hormuz and accepting US demands on its nuclear programme. On Tuesday, the President also publicly suggested striking Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain, an underground nuclear site, saying he would give it “a nice, big, fat shot" unless Tehran fully opened its nuclear programme.
The proposed escalation would go well beyond the current focus on maritime security and military infrastructure. Trump also issued a fresh warning, saying next week “it gets really bad" if Iran refuses to return to the negotiating table. According to Trump, US negotiators had conveyed a direct message to Tehran, make a deal or “you won’t have anything left." The United States has already carried out four consecutive days of strikes against Iranian military targets. According to the information released, the attacks have targeted Iranian air defence systems, radar installations, anti-ship missile sites and drone facilities. At the same time, a naval blockade on Iranian ports has been put into effect. Trump’s reported plans suggest the next phase could include attacks on power plants, bridges and other strategic infrastructure if Iran continues to reject negotiations. Daylight strikes begin The US military on Wednesday confirmed it had begun a fresh round of airstrikes against Iran during daylight hours. US Central Command announced the new attacks in an online statement, marking a change from recent operations, which had been conducted only at night. “The strikes are designed to further degrade military capabilities Iranian forces have used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz," Central Command said.
