Controversy erupts in the UK! The Bharat Hindu Samaj has approached the UK High Court to halt Peterborough City Council’s decision to sell a historic 40-year-old Ram Temple site to the UK Islamic Mission for a mosque and Islamic centre. The Hindu Trust, which has been trying to buy the property for 14 years, argues it is the only temple serving 18,000 Hindus within a 60-km radius.
The council favoured the higher bid, claiming the process was lawful and alternatives were offered, but the move has triggered strong protests from the local Hindu community.
