The dispute allegedly escalated into violence, with the accused attacking Vikki with an axe before fleeing the spot. Police said the victim suffered grievous injuries in the assault. His hands were severed at the wrists, while he also sustained serious injuries to one leg and multiple deep wounds to his head. Passersby who found him lying in a pool of blood alerted the police. Family members rushed to the scene after receiving information about the attack. According to eyewitness accounts, Vikki’s mother attempted to stem the bleeding by tying cloth around his severed wrists and head before he was taken to hospital. The injured man was initially taken to the district hospital, where doctors provided emergency treatment before referring him to a higher medical centre due to the severity of his injuries. The victim’s family alleged the involvement of a local politician in the attack and has demanded strict action against those responsible.

Police said they have begun an investigation based on the family’s complaint and are examining CCTV footage from the petrol pump and surrounding areas.
