Officials said local residents had noticed the tiger cub and informed the Forest department about the presence of two cubs in the village.
They had not seen the mother and suspected she could have abandoned the cubs. They added that despite an ongoing search for the other cub and the mother, their efforts have so far proven unsuccessful. They said they would continue their search.
