The mortal remains of fifteen Indian tourists who died in a speedboat accident off Vietnam's Phu Quoc Island have been brought back to India. The victims, who were on an office trip, included ten individuals from Tamil Nadu, three from Andhra Pradesh, and two from Kerala. The bodies arrived at airports in India on Tuesday morning, where family members received them.
Following the incident, there are calls for the External Affairs Minister to discuss the matter with the Vietnamese government to initiate an inquiry, identify lapses by the boat authorities, take action, and secure compensation for the families of the deceased.
