An NDTV investigation highlighting the alarming rise in maternal deaths across Rajasthan has triggered action from the state government. Following NDTV's ground reports from Kota, Bikaner and Jodhpur, the Rajasthan Health Department convened an emergency review meeting in Jaipur. The Health Minister held discussions with principals of government medical colleges, hospital superintendents, senior gynaecologists and healthcare experts, including specialists from AIIMS, to investigate the causes behind the spike in maternal deaths and assess corrective measures.
