A major controversy has erupted in Tamil Nadu after a married woman accused TVK functionary and Krishnarayapuram East Union Secretary Ramesh of sexually harassing her for the past three months and attempting to abduct her in Karur. According to the victim’s family, they confronted Ramesh and allegedly thrashed him following the alleged abduction attempt.
The family has further accused the Kulathalai police of failing to take action on their complaint and shielding the accused. The incident has now triggered a political showdown, with opposition parties questioning the state's law-and-order situation and demanding strict action against those involved.
