Indore Murder: In a shocking incident, a woman working in the postal department was allegedly murdered by her husband at their home in Indore, police said. The couple’s 14-year-old daughter found her mother’s body lying in a pool of blood after returning from school. The victim, identified as Urmila Saini, was posted as a Postal Assistant at the MG Road Post Office and was living with her family, husband and two children, in Dak Kunj Colony under the Manorama Ganj police station limits. According to police, the accused husband, identified as Akhilesh Saini, a businessman based in Bhopal, allegedly attacked his wife with a sharp-edged weapon before fleeing the scene. Preliminary investigation suggested that the victim suffered multiple injuries. Before leaving, he allegedly handed his daughter an ATM card, shared its PIN, gave her some cash, and asked the children to go to their aunt’s house after school, saying he and their mother had some work. However, when the daughter returned home later, she found her mother lying in a pool of blood and immediately alerted relatives and the police. Police teams rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Multiple teams have been formed to trace the accused, who remains absconding. Indore Police PRO Amrendra Singh said that prima facie the murder appears to have been committed using a sharp weapon.
