The Supreme Court has questioned the central government and the Testing Agency regarding the recent NEET undergraduate paper leak, asking how the breach occurred despite existing monitoring mechanisms. Stressing that such incidents impact the lives and careers of countless students, the court has directed the central government to file a detailed affidavit within six weeks. This affidavit must outline the examination process and the mechanisms in place to ensure the continuity of expert monitoring.

Furthermore, the court sought an explanation from the chief of the panel responsible for examination reforms regarding the failure of safeguards and the implementation of their recommendations. Meanwhile, a crucial parliamentary review is underway, involving top officials from the higher education department, the testing agency, and the central investigation bureau. During the court hearing, the Solicitor General informed the bench that the Prime Minister is personally monitoring the upcoming examination process to prevent future systemic failures and ensure strict accountability.
