The Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) has completed the distribution of enumeration forms to all electors as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, with around 18% of the data digitised so far, said SCB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Arvind Kumar Dwivedi. Dwivedi chaired an all-party meeting at the office of the Cantonment Election Returning Officer on Monday (July 13, 2026) to review the progress of the SIR exercise and address issues raised during the revision process.
Representatives of major political parties also attended the meeting. “The meeting was held to discuss any issues related to the Special Intensive Revision. We explained the challenges from our side, and whatever concerns were raised were resolved. Political parties were also requested to extend their cooperation to ensure the smooth completion of the exercise,” he said. According to the CEO, the cantonment has around 2.45 lakh to 2.48 lakh electors on its rolls. Dwivedi said the distribution of enumeration forms has been completed in all households.
During the exercise, forms pertaining to electors who had shifted residence or died were identified and removed from the active collection process in accordance with the revision guidelines. “The distribution work has been completed 100%. We are now in the stage of collecting the forms and simultaneously digitising the data. As of July 13, around 18% of the digitisation has been completed,” he said. Meanwhile, Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Sri Ganesh, who attended the all-party meeting, said representatives highlighted issues encountered at the field level during the SIR exercise and the difficulties being faced by voters.
They also suggested measures to resolve these issues and urged officials to ensure that the revision process is carried out in a transparent, accessible and fair manner. Ganesh also requested officials to immediately release the pending dues of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) engaged in election-related duties in the cantonment, stating that they should receive their payments without further delay.
