An investigation by a thirteen-member committee into the temple in Nagaur, Rajasthan, has revealed financial irregularities and fraud. The probe, conducted over one hundred and forty-six days, found that records of gold and silver assets worth more than two point five crore rupees were missing. The committee also uncovered fake dining hall expenses of around fifty lakh rupees, unaccounted kitchen expenses of one crore seventeen lakh rupees, and withheld rental income from a toilet complex and an ATM.
Additionally, fraud expenses of over eighty-two lakh rupees for CCTVs and forged vouchers exceeding fifty-eight lakh rupees were revealed. The report has been submitted to the district collector, recommending an FIR, freezing of records, and suspending the current committee.
