Ravindra allegedly told Tanuja that he needed some time before informing his family about their relationship (Image used for representation) A 31-year-old newly-married woman died after allegedly consuming poison near Bengaluru, shortly after her husband told her that he could not meet her immediately and would visit the following morning. The woman, identified as Tanuja, reportedly sent her husband a message informing him that she had consumed poison and revealing her location in Basavanahalli, Nelamangala. Her husband rushed to the spot and took her to hospital, where she was declared dead, according to a report by Times Of India. Police suspect that Tanuja became distressed following a conversation with her husband, Ravindra, on the day of the incident.
The exact circumstances surrounding her death are now being investigated. Couple Fell In Love After Meeting While Travelling To Work Tanuja, a native of Beerammanahalli village in Gauribidanur, had recently married Ravindra, a resident of Mayasandra in Yelahanka. According to police cited by the outlet, the two first met while travelling to work. Their friendship gradually developed into a romantic relationship, and they eventually got married at Dharmasthala. However, after their marriage, Ravindra allegedly told Tanuja that he needed some time before informing his family about their relationship. In the meantime, she continued to live separately in a rented house in Yelahanka. Husband Said He Would Visit The Next Morning On the day of the incident, Tanuja reportedly called Ravindra and asked him to come home. At the time, he was at his parents’ house and told her that he could not visit immediately but would come the following morning, according to police.
Investigators said Tanuja was apparently upset by the conversation and switched off her mobile phone soon afterwards. At around 10 am, Ravindra reportedly received a message from her saying that she had consumed poison. She also told him that she was in Basavanahalli in Nelamangala. Husband Rushed Her To Hospital After receiving the message, Ravindra rushed to the location and found Tanuja. He immediately took her to Nelamangala Government Hospital for treatment. Despite efforts to save her, doctors declared her dead. Nelamangala Town Police have registered a case and begun an investigation into the incident is underway.
