The Supreme Court has taken up petitions seeking a CBI probe into the Ram Mandir donation theft case. A bench headed by the Chief Justice of India has issued notices to the Uttar Pradesh government, the central government, and the Ram Mandir Teerth Shetra Trust.
The court has directed the state's Special Investigation Team to submit a status report on the ongoing inquiry, including details on its composition. The petitions also seek the preservation of CCTV footage and stricter management of the Chadhawa at the temple. The next hearing is scheduled for next week.
