A courtroom disruption unfolded at the Supreme Court on Friday when a petitioner appearing in person allegedly hurled papers into the air and used offensive language against Chief Justice of India Surya Kant. The man, identified as Prabal Pratap from Lucknow, was immediately removed from the courtroom by security personnel and detained by police. The court, however, later allowed him to go after taking note of his apparently “incoherent" behaviour. How The Courtroom Drama Began Pratap was representing himself before a bench comprising Justices KV Viswanathan and Alok Aradhe. Wearing a black coat and white shirt, he began his arguments by addressing the court as “Mr Judicial Servant". “Mr Judicial Servant, I order you to order the registration of the FIR against ACP (assistant commissioner of police), Vikas Nagar, Lucknow and against Duplex Technologies Services Limited," he said.
His unusual choice of words prompted the judges to interrupt and ask, “Are you ordering us?" Pratap did not answer the question directly and instead carried on with his submissions. Petitioner Makes Cybercrime Allegation During his arguments, Pratap accused a company of operating what he described as a cybercrime network spanning the country. “Duplex Technologies is running a cyber crime syndicate across the country," he alleged. After telling the bench that he had nothing further to submit, he said, “This is all from my side. Everything is on record." What happened next caught those present in the courtroom by surprise. Pratap allegedly grabbed a stack of documents, flung them into the air and used unparliamentary language against the. Security Personnel Swing Into Action Delhi Police personnel stationed inside the courtroom quickly intervened and escorted Pratap out as lawyers watched the unexpected scenes unfold. He was subsequently detained by police. However, after considering his conduct to be “incoherent", the court decided against taking further action and allowed him to leave.
