Reliance Foundation Athletes Win 7 Medals At Inaugural Asian U23 Athletics Championships Published By, Last Updated: July 13, 2026, 20:05 IST Reliance Foundation athletes won 7 medals, 2 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze, at the Asian U23 Athletics Championships in Ordos, China. Astik Pradhan Reliance Foundation’s emerging athletes made a solid impression at the inaugural Asian U23 Athletics Championships in Ordos, China, winning a total of seven medals including 2 Gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals. Both Astik Pradhan (gold in mixed 4x400m relay and silver in men’s 4x400m relay) and Shivaji Parashuram Madappagoudra (silver in men’s 5000m and 10000m) won multiple medals while Anand Singh won India’s first individual medal of the edition with a new personal best that saw him cross the 80m barrier for the first time in the men’s javelin throw event.

The medal tally was rounded up by Bhartpreet Singh and Abhay Singh, who both won bronze in the men’s discus throw and men’s 200m events, respectively. Anand’s impressive display came on the final day of competition and he improved significantly on his previous personal best of 77.68m by recording a new personal best of 80.57m. Anand put together a really consistent series, which saw him surpass his previous personal best thrice in his six throws. Speaking after his competition, he said, “It feels great to achieve a personal best. I have achieved a personal best after a while. I got my personal best at the right place at the right time.
