One Assam Rifles personnel killed and four others were injured in a suspected IED blast in Nagaland Chumoukedima district, said a senior police official on Monday (July 13, 2026) The explosion reportedly targeted an Assam Rifles vehicles during an operational movement, PRO Defence Col Amit Shukla said.
Security forces have launched a search operation in the area, while the injured personnel have been shifted for medical treatment. Further investigation is underway, he said.
