A software engineer allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death in a rented accommodation in Sector 55, Gurugram, before dying by suicide. The incident came to light after the woman's family grew worried when she did not answer their calls and subsequently alerted the police. A preliminary investigation suggests that the victim was stabbed multiple times with a knife.
Police discovered that the victim's friend had visited her flat before the incident. During the search, police received information about a man's body lying in pieces on the railway tracks. Investigators believe he took his own life after committing the murder. Further police investigation is underway to understand the timeline and motive behind the incident.
