The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister made his first visit to the Perambur constituency after securing victory in the recent elections. Having won from two seats and subsequently vacating the other, the actor-turned-politician retained this specific constituency. During the visit, the Chief Minister officially launched the state government's ration card distribution program, handing over the cards to the first ten beneficiaries. The itinerary also included the inauguration of the local legislative office, an inspection of infrastructure at nearby bus depots, and interactions with welfare beneficiaries.
A large gathering of supporters and local residents waited for hours to catch a glimpse of the leader, with some constituents stating they skipped work to attend the event. Heavy security protocols and barricades were put in place to manage the crowds that lined the streets for nearly eight kilometers. The visit focused primarily on public interaction and constituency development rather than political campaigning, marking a significant step in the leader's administrative duties.
