The breed is supposed to be hard-working and hyperactive. This one would rather put her paws up or strike a pose for some adoring human We didn’t plan on getting a dog, but someone told us about a working sheepdog in Ireland who wasn’t up to the job and therefore needed a new owner.
In 2023, we travelled from Nottingham to meet her and I fell in love. It was clear that she was not cut out for working and wanted to be a lady of leisure. She was really affectionate and I could tell that she loved being around people.
Border collies are known for being hyperactive, wanting to chase a ball, wanting to do things all the time, but Daisy is the opposite. She is happy to cuddle up next to you. She brings a smile to people’s faces whenever we’re out.
