Amid the ongoing investigation into the temple donation theft case, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has invited applications for the first CEO’s post. Here’s a look at the eligibility criteria. The applicant must be an actively practising Hindu, have at least 20 years of managerial experience, and be between 50 and 70 years of age. The selected candidate will oversee the administration and functioning of one of India’s most prominent religious institutions. According to the notification, the Trust is looking for eligible and interested candidates to head the temple’s administration. The selected candidate’s posting will be in Ayodhya and it carries a three-year contract, which may be renewed based on satisfactory performance. The Trust said the salary and service benefits will be decided through mutual discussion.
Who can apply? The notification states that applicants must hold a minimum Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. Candidates should be between 50 and 70 years of age and have at least 20 years of managerial experience in a large public organisation, institution, government department or company. The experience should include supervising and coordinating multiple functional areas, including General Administration Finance Accounts Human Resources Public Relations Information Technology Security Legal Affairs Preference will be given to candidates who have served as a Chief Administrative Officer or have experience managing a temple or Hindu religious institution. Retired officers with the required experience, skills and competence are also eligible to apply. Religious and language requirements The notification specifies that the applicant must be an actively practising Hindu. It further states that being a Ram devotee belonging to the Vaishnava tradition will be considered desirable. Applicants must also have a good working knowledge of Hindi and English, both of which are mandatory for the post. CEO will report to General Secretary According to the notification, the Chief Executive Officer will report directly to the General Secretary of the Trust. The CEO will serve as the highest executive authority responsible for the Trust’s officers, functionaries, employees and staff.
