Kusha Kapila has hit back at meme pages over fresh claims linking her to comedian Samay Raina, even hinting she may have to reveal the jokes from their controversial 2024 roast to explain why she reacted the way she did. Taking to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, Kusha shot down viral speculation, including an AI-altered clip claiming she had asked Samay for an invitation to his show, India’s Got Latent, streaming on YouTube and Netflix.
Calling out meme pages, she wrote, “Kitni seeding karogey, meme accounts? Ruk jao." She went on to question whether she would have to disclose the jokes that were made about her during the infamous roast to justify her anger. “Will I have to reveal the jokes at this point to justify my anger? Wapas case ho jayega bhai. Move on, bhai. Maine kisi party mein hee nahi jaana ab," she wrote. Standing by her earlier criticism of the roast, Kusha wrote, “The jokes made at my expense were horrible, and I stand by my stance that they should have been censored." The actor also revealed the emotional impact the episode had on her, saying she blocked both Samay Raina and Ashish Solanki after the show. “It has taken me a lot of time and therapy to undo the shame and ridicule I felt that day. I genuinely wish that roast had never happened to me," she wrote. ‘Stop minimising women’ Kusha also reacted to the speculation that she had celebrated Samay’s recent controversy involving Ranveer Allahbadia on India’s Got Latent Season 1, saying there was no truth to such claims. She added that although publications had approached her to speak against him, she chose not to do so.
