A shocking incident of domestic violence was caught on CCTV in Gujarat's Surat, where a man blocked his estranged wife's two-wheeler in the middle of a busy road, dragged her by the hair and repeatedly punched and kicked her, while also threatening to kill her. The incident took place on Saturday and the CCTV footage, which has since gone viral on social media, shows the accused, identified as 46-year-old Pravinbhai Amarshibhai Golkiya, stopping his car in front of his wife's scooter, forcing her to stop.

Before fleeing in his car, Golkiya, who runs a tour and travels business, threatened to kill his estranged wife. Following the incident, the woman approached the police and lodged a complaint. He was arrested within hours of the complaint. Speaking to Aaj Tak, India Today's sister channel, a senior police officer said the couple had been involved in a long-pending domestic dispute that is currently before a court.
