Son Laced Food With Poison According to the FIR, Ravindra is accused of lacing a serving of chole with a toxic substance and giving it to his mother, Rammoorti, at around 3 pm. Soon after consuming the food, the woman’s condition deteriorated and she was admitted to a hospital, where she remains under treatment. The police action was prompted on the basis of the complaint filed by Rammoorti’s husband, Ranveer Singh. In the FIR, he alleged that his son later admitted that the poison had been supplied by his mother-in-law, Phoolwati. According to the complaint, Phoolwati had summoned Ravindra to Gatpura village and handed him a packet containing the substance, allegedly telling him that her daughter would not resume living with him unless he “removed" his mother.
Investigators are yet to verify these allegations. Land Dispute Meanwhile, Ravindra’s brother, Mukesh, claimed that tensions within the family had intensified over a property dispute and that Ravindra’s wife had been staying with her parents for some time. Police have booked Ravindra and Phoolwati under Sections 61, 109 and 123 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). While Ravindra has been taken into custody, the investigation is ongoing. Officials said further action will depend on medical and forensic reports as well as other evidence collected during the probe.
