Assistant Professor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Gunta Leela Varaprasad died of prolonged illness in Shyamsundarapuram village of Tekkali Assembly constituency of Srikakulam district in the early hours of Sunday. Leela Varaprasad started his career as a journalist in 1995.
He has written several books on the issues of North Andhra region which caught the attention of many academicians and research scholars of the State. He also penned several books on the political service of veteran public representatives and their contribution to the society.

Rajani expressed shock over the sudden death of Dr. Leela Varaprasad and recalled his contribution to the journalism profession over the last three decades.
