Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries Bhupathiraju Srinivas Varma on Sunday launched an autorickshaw campaign at BJP office in Bhimavaram town to create awareness among the voters on the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voters in Bhimavaram parliamentary constituency in West Godavari district.
Srinivas Varma drove the autorickshaw in Bhimavaram asking the voters to come forward for the SIR exercise. The BJP launched the campaign with 25 autorickshaws. “The SIR will delete the votes of those who died during the ongoing review. The exercise has succeeded in the States of Assam and West Bengal.
SIR is the need of the hour in every State,” said Mr. Srinivas Varma. He also asked his party supporters to extend their support to the officials for the SIR exercise. The voters will have to submit their SIR application by July 14.
The draft voter list will be published allowing voters’ to raise objections on the status of the vote.
